NEW! EXPERIENCED BEGINNER AND INTERMEDIATE
This 6-week course runs every Thursday from 18:30 to 21:00. It's a flexible, skill-focused course designed to help you refine your throwing skills.
Whether you're looking to throw more complex forms, improve your control and precision, or just reduce mishaps while throwing, this course will cater to your specific needs. With personalised guidance, you'll work at your own pace to focus on the areas of your practice that matter most to you.
This course does not include glazing, as the focus is solely on developing throwing skills. However, if you'd like to keep your work, you have the option to join one of our periodic glazing sessions (available for an additional fee), usually held on a Wednesday evening or Saturday morning.
Please note that the cost of materials and firing is not included in the course fee. If you wish to keep any of your pieces, there will be a firing fee based on the weight (55p per 100g of clay) and the kiln space required for larger pieces (taller than 25cm, flat pieces larger than 20cm diameter). If you choose not to keep any work, no additional charges will apply.
Centring skills are essential for this course. To make the most of the course, we recommend bringing pictures of your work to help us understand the areas you'd like to improve.
Aprons and basic tools are provided, but you're welcome to bring your own tools—just make sure they're labeled with your name.
This course will take place once a week on Thursday evenings, for a total of 5 weeks between 19th June and 24th July ‘25. Each session will be held from 6:30PM to 9:00 PM.
